Last updated: March 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Xouple collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you access or use our services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information necessary to provide platform services, support bookings, maintain trust and safety, and comply with legal obligations. This includes account data such as name, phone number, email, profile details, and city; booking and transaction data such as reservation details, timestamps, amounts, payout references, cancellation records, and support communications; and technical data such as device type, IP address, browser metadata, and application logs used for security and diagnostics.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to create and manage accounts, process bookings and payments, enable vendor and customer communications, provide support, enforce platform policies, detect fraud, investigate abuse, improve reliability, personalize product experience, and comply with legal or regulatory requirements.
3. Legal Basis and Consent
Depending on applicable law, processing may occur based on your consent, contractual necessity, legitimate interests such as fraud prevention and service improvement, and legal obligations. Where consent is required, you may withdraw consent for future processing in accordance with applicable law.
4. Information Sharing
We may share information with vendors and customers as required to fulfill bookings, with payment partners and infrastructure providers for transaction and service delivery operations, with professional advisors and auditors, and with lawful authorities when required by legal process, public safety concerns, or compliance obligations. We do not sell personal information as a standalone data product.
5. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary for service operations, legal compliance, accounting, dispute resolution, fraud mitigation, and contractual enforcement. Retention periods may vary by data category. When retention is no longer required, data is deleted, anonymized, or irreversibly de-identified where feasible.
6. Security Measures
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit where applicable, credential protections, logging, and operational monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is fully risk-free, and users should also protect their account credentials and devices.
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal information, and may request closure of your account. Certain requests may be limited where data is required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, financial reconciliation, or dispute handling.
8. Cross-Border Processing
Service providers and infrastructure systems used by Xouple may process data in multiple jurisdictions. Where required, we implement appropriate contractual and organizational safeguards for such processing.
9. Children's Privacy
Xouple is not intended for use by minors who cannot legally contract under applicable law. If we become aware that personal data has been collected unlawfully from such users, we will take appropriate corrective action.
10. Policy Updates and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, operational, or product changes. Updated versions become effective upon publication unless otherwise stated. For privacy-related queries or rights requests, contact privacy@xouple.in.
